About Kami Media

Hi, I’m Kami.

I’m a developer and university student who enjoys building small things on the internet, from simple web tools to games. Some of them are useful, some are experimental, and some are just fun little projects made while learning.

Kami Media is my personal site for projects, guides, and creative tech experiments. The site is mostly about small browser tools, game development, physical media, Y2K aesthetics, old tech, and nostalgic internet ideas.

I like working with ideas that feel nostalgic but still practical today. That can mean writing about CDs and old media, building a small JavaScript game, or collecting Y2K-inspired outfit ideas.

The goal of this site is simple: to create useful content, share small tools, and document projects that sit somewhere between technology, creativity, and nostalgia.

If you are new here, the projects page is probably the best place to start. It collects the games, tools, and coding experiments I have built so far. You can also find practical guides, like my Windows 11 CD burning guide, or browse the Y2K outfit ideas page.

Projects

Some of the tools and small projects on this site are built as experiments, learning projects, or just because I thought they would be fun to make.

I especially like projects that are small enough to finish, but still teach something useful. A simple browser game can teach APIs, JSON, UI design, and user interaction. A small Unity game can teach level design, scope, polish, and publishing.

Stop Making Platformers First

A lot of indie games start as prototypes. You make something small, it feels fun, someone plays it, and suddenly the idea appears: maybe ...
